In memory of my brother,
Jonathan 1960 -1998
Happy New Year everyone!
Here is is, 2008. I remember in grade school they asked us what we
thought the year 2000 would be like. Well that's come and gone.
It's nothing like I thought it would be, but things we imagine rarely
are. The new year brings new opportunities and there are some
available to me. I've started a new job and I received a new camera for
Christmas, things look fantastic! Go me! :D
The last five photos in the recent
prints page were taken with the new camera. I'm so excited, and hope to
share some of that excitement with you as the year goes on. (I'm
still learning to use it) It's kind of funny the way we take
things for granted that we're used to. This (for me) applies to both
work and play. Learning new systems is humbling and interesting at
the same time. Ciao for now. ^^
Well.. It's September already and the
time has flown by,. We were to quite a few Scion events over the summer
and the pics from them are in the ... tada! scionpics area.
A lot of them are snapshots, but some are pretty cool racing pictures.
It's great traveling around and having the camera to get some
shots of all the different events. Scion corp really takes care of
their owners and a big thanks to them and to Urban Racer! Jackie!
You rock hehe.
We took a road trip out to
Indianapolis in August. 11 hours wasn't too bad, but I have to admit I
was glad to get out of the box ;) We visited with Steve, an old
friend from town. He took us to an awesome Thai restaurant. I'm so
jealous that we don't have good Thai here. bleh! Then it was off
to O'Reilly Raceway Park and time for some racing and some good company.
Lots of new friends and seeing some of the racers we know. Hi Leslie!
;) Was a great trip and can't wait to do it again.
Last weekend we were up to
Massachusetts. I realized how much I miss it up there and that we have
to go back sooner than later. A few pics are in the recent gallery from
that. The Potholes are an area that was formed from glacial water
flowing over rocks and creating round holes in them over a long time.
It used to be a wonderful spot for swimming but after a couple of
accidents is now closed off for the most part.
Almost summer already, at least it
seems like it anyway. Next weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Busy busy.
The Irises in the garden did really well this year and are still in full
bloom. I added a new Scion picture gallery in the menu to the
left. Those are pictures from the different events we go to. The
latest ones were from Raceway Park in Englishtown. Really fun day, but
the wind and cold were bitter. I've posted some new pictures in the
Recent Prints gallery. Hope you all enjoy looking through them.
Wows! A new car! We bought a
2006 Scion xB! It's mah Valentine's Day gift ^^ hehe, I'm so
excited I can't believe I actually got a new car. It's my first and I
guess after 30 years of driving it's about time :P

In other news, I've transferred
into the pharmacy dept at my job. Thank goodness and I'm grateful for
the chance to learn new things and to be able to achieve my goals. Took
some photos at the beach today> Unfortunately, it was so cold and windy
that I didn't last long out there :S Did manage to get a few nice
shots though...
So, here it is.. the year 2007.
I hope all your holidays were good and that the new year brings you
happiness. I've been busy with everything except photography
unfortunately. Hopefully once the weather breaks here I'll be back
out and about with the camera. I'm looking forward to spring and ...
what else? Flowers!!!!!! Yep.. can't wait for the flowers this year and
I've planted a lot of new perennials in my beds. I'm hoping they'll
bloom this year as it will be the second season for them. I've got
my fingers crossed that they will.
Oh! I almost forgot! I got a new
Nintendo Wii console and I have to say that it's the most fun I've had
with a game in years! The Wii Sports disk comes with bowling, tennis,
boxing, golf, baseball and a kind of corny fitness program. The
sports games are so much fun when you have friends over! I wound up
almost knocking over the furniture, hehe. But we were all laughing
and having such a great time, Check it out!
Today I went and got another tattoo.
A little Jirachi near my ankle on the right leg. I think it's really
cute. It was drawn by Phoenixe another person who loves Jirachi as much
as I do. ^^ She's really talented and agreed to let me use her
artwork for this tattoo. Mega props to her for that! w00t!
The website seems a lot more stabile
now that I've switched over to GoDaddy as my host. I've been doing more
photography when I'm not in work (although it seems like I'm always
there.) I got a promotion to shift supervisor and am thankful to
the management for that. It's nice to be trusted and feel that you do
something useful. The job is going well and I enjoy it. More
postings and new photos soon
.
April 2006
Sorry about the downtime on the
website. My host evidently had problems forcing me to find another. It
would have been nice to hear from them regarding it, but I suppose
that's the way it goes. Anyway, I'm now with GoDaddy and I
have to say they rock. It was so easy to setup and they made everything
available even sooner than they said. Go GoDaddy!! Their
plans are so reasonable and I highly recommend them! About
photography, I've been slacking a bit. I have taken some photos, but
there are only a few to post. So, I'll be updating within the next few
days. Thanks everyone for your patience and continuing to check in on my
art! I joined the Exit81 art co-op here in town. They were way too
cliquey for me and I never ended up going. heh. Oh well.
I started a new job and have busy
with that. Yay me! hehe. work! I like it actually, it's nice to be
there, everyone is friendly and it makes for not dreading to go to work.
That's a big plus! I"m ready for flowers and more photography. Can't
wait for summer, as well.
December 2005
The display at the library has
come and gone. It went really well, a big thank you to the
people who commented, visited the website and made that possible. It's
nice to know people are enjoying the photos and prints. There was a lot
more traffic through the website during November, that's quite nice to
see. ^^
So, the holidays are almost here.
The busiest time of year for most, and us here as well. I'd like
to wish you all a great holiday, which ever one you celebrate, I hope
it's wonderful and full of joy. Hopefully 2006 will bring everyone good
things, times and good health above all.
November 2005
It's been a hectic couple of
months past. Soho Gallery Toms River exhibited my prints for about
a month from mid August to Mid September. I was thankful to have
an opportunity to have the prints shown by them. About that
time I approached the county library and they offered me a one month set
up in the Toms River branch. The photos are there now, until
the end of November. If you're downtown drop in and have a look.
The library system here is so much
more than books and magazines. Last week we had the pleasure of
going to see Daisy Martinez talk about her new book and cooking. She's
awesome. Her new book looks great.
I'm going to be getting some
new pictures uploaded as soon as possible. Thanks as always and be good
to yourself.
